Our history
It all began with the effort of a Bolivian family who, after years in local trade, decided to pursue a greater dream: bringing the products of their land to the international market. In 2005, UNIONEX S.R.L. was founded in the city of Riberalta, Beni, starting operations by renting a small processing plant and focusing on the export of Brazil Nuts.
With little experience but strong determination and vision, the founders embarked on this new journey. The early years were marked by continuous learning, hard work, and the building of strong relationships with local producers. Over time, the company grew steadily—establishing its own industrial plant and obtaining international certifications that reflect its commitment to quality and food safety, such as BRC for Brazil nuts and ISO 22000 for quinoa.
The addition of quinoa came as a strategic move, driven by its growing global demand and a business model that proved simpler than that of Brazil nuts. Today, UNIONEX S.R.L. is recognized for its track record, high standards, and commitment to sustainable development, while staying true to the entrepreneurial spirit that gave it life.

Our mission is to produce, process, and export Bolivian Amazonian Brazil nuts and real quinoa with the highest levels of quality, safety, and added value, meeting the demands of the international market and adapting to trends of conscious and healthy consumption.
